No Japanese today すみいません but thought I'd blog these pictures of the Apple store in Regents Street. You know Mac fanatics want to see anything weird/new/old.. ok.. anything to do with Macs. So, here you go, a power outage at the Regent Street store.

These are under Creative Commons license - if you're a commercial site (i.e. carry adverts for which you get money) consider yourself warned [unless you're MacFormat as I feel bad for giving Graham a hard time about the blog posts :) ]

They wouldn't accept card purchases over £50 as there was no way to authorise them. All the A/C machines were out - the only lights were the sweet, sweet sun, some emergency lights and the dim glow of Macbooks on battery power.

I'm learning Japanese at the moment - listening to some great podcasts from japancast.net and Learn Japanese.

It's a mixed blessing having to visit the London office every week. On one hand it's 3 hours of my life on a train, but then it's also an opportunity to practise my listening and writing skills. One of the suggestions on japancast.net in order to learn Hiragana was to post-it note everything you see. I tried that and now have notes scrunched up all over my room. Another suggestion was to keep a diary in Japanese. Nothing fancy.. and not necessarily 100% well written but I'll give it a go.

わたしわ Ant です
毛よわろんどんまででした
けよわあついでべ

phew.. well that took about 15 minutes to write. Hope it's not offensive! Typing Japanese requires a bit more thought than writing.
